St. Paul Lutheran School and the West Point Police Department held an open forum Monday night to discuss last week’s incident involving an illegal package of drugs that was mailed to the school.

Assistant Police Chief John Adams says the school was asked not to disclose details of the incident immediately so the investigation could continue.

Investigators were brought in by the III Corps Drug Task Force which serves Cuming, Dodge, Saunders and Washington counties and there is a person of interest in the case.

Adams says the school is safe and so is the community.
