Brandon Benitz continues his weekly “Chat with the Chancellor” series here in the Spring 2018 semester. This week, he’s joined by the President of the University of Nebraska system, Dr. Hank Bounds.

This week, they talk about the state budget package approved by the legislature, and signed by the Governor, last week by which the University of Nebraska’s funding will be reduced about $11 million in the current year, and next year will be cut about $6 million.  We get Bounds’ thoughts and takeaways from the University of Nebraska’s Board of Regents meeting back on Thursday, March 29. Finally, Dr. Bounds, announced the winners of prestigious University system-wide awards for teaching, research, and service, and he talks about what these faculty were recognized for, why it’s important to recognize faculty in this way, and more!
