Huskers win spring match with Iowa State

Ames, Iowa- The Nebraska volleyball team defeated the Iowa State Cyclones 4-0 (27-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-22) at Hilton Coliseum in the Huskers' first spring match of the season on Saturday.


Kadie Rolfzen led the Huskers offensively on the day as she totaled 11 kills. Amber Rolfzen, Kelsey Fien, Mary Pollmiller and Melanie Keil all added seven kills. Pollmiller paced the offense with 38 assists and also contributed eight digs. Amber Rolfzen notched a team-high 10 digs, while Keil guided the Huskers at the net with eight blocks.


Nebraska hit .218 for the match and had six aces as a team. The Huskers also totaled 15 team blocks. Iowa State was held to a .147 hitting percentage and just two team blocks. Both teams posted 51 digs each.


Nebraska will travel to Wayne, Neb., next Saturday, April 26, for their final spring match. The Huskers will take on Creighton at Rice Auditorium at 2 p.m.
