McDermott to sign autographs

OMAHA, Neb. -- Doug McDermott will return to the Creighton University campus on Tuesday (Aug. 26) to sign autographs while raising money for several Omaha charities. Presented by Creighton University and the Omaha World-Herald, the autograph session will take place from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the school's new Championship Center in the 600 block of 19th Street.

Doug McDermott memorabilia is available for purchase on his official website, DougMcD3.com, and will also be available for purchase at this event. McDermott will sign up to three autographs per person, at $10 per autograph. Items purchased at the event will be marked and will not be subject to the $10 per autograph fee.

McDermott won 14 National Player of the Year accolades during a senior season that saw him lead the Bluejays to a third straight Round of 32 NCAA Tournament appearance, as he topped the nation in scoring with 26.7 points and added a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game. The Heider College of Business graduate also won an ESPY in 2014 as the "Best Male College Athlete".

McDermott finished his career fifth in NCAA history with 3,150 career points and was the first male to be named a First Team All-American by the Associated Press since 1985.

Creighton is coached by Greg McDermott, Doug's father, who owns a 107-38 record after four seasons with the Bluejays.
