Creighton game called off
OMAHA, Neb. - The third game of the Creighton and Illinois State series was canceled Sunday due to rain in the Omaha area. The two teams each won a game Saturday, with Creighton (16-22, 3-11) pulling out the 15-inning game one 6-5 and ISU (23-16, 5-8) winning the night cap 7-2. The game will not be made up.
Tickets from Sunday's game can be used for any game the rest of the season, with the exception of the May 8 game against Nebraska. Tickets can be exchanged at either the Creighton ticket office at DJ Sokol Arena or at the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha box office.
Creighton will be back in action next weekend, when they travel to Peoria, Ill., for a three-game series with Bradley.
