Wayne State hits the road for Northern Sun Conference South Division play this weekend as the Wildcats head to St. Paul, Minnesota to take on Concordia-St. Paul Friday night at 7:30 p.m. and Mankato, Minnesota to take on #9 Minnesota State on Saturday evening at 7 p.m. The Wildcats are 7-2 overall and 2-1 in the NSIC after splitting games last week. The Wildcats fell at Sioux Falls 65-60 and defeated Southwest Minnesota State 83-62. Concordia-St. Paul is 2-6 on the season (0-3 in the NSIC South) while Minnesota State is unbeaten at 9-0 (3-0 NSIC South Division). Last season, WSC won both meetings against CSP. At home Wayne State won 60-41 and later won 80-64 on the road. The home team won both meetings with Wayne State and Minnesota State last season. WSC won the first game at home 79-69 while MSU won in Mankato 81-76.

Wayne State faces a tough NSIC South Division road trip this weekend with games at Concordia-St. Paul Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at #6 Minnesota State Saturday in a 5 p.m. contest. The Wildcats are 6-1 and 2-1 in the league heading into Friday’s matchup vs. the Golden Bears (5-2, 2-1) while the unbeaten Mavericks, ranked sixth in this week’s WBCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, start the weekend at 7-0 and 3-0 in the NSIC.  Last season, WSC and CSP split with the home team winning each time – WSC 75-70 in Wayne and CSP 76-71 in St. Paul.  Minnesota State swept the Wildcats last season winning 63-52 in Wayne and 95-58 in Mankato.
