Wayne State Basketball Teams at home this weekend

The Wayne State College mens basketball team welcomes MSU Moorhead and Northern State to Rice Auditorium this weekend for NSIC cross-division contests.  The Wildcats are 6-13 overall and 3-7 in the NSIC South following a road split last weekend at Winona State and Upper Iowa entering Friday nights 7:30 p.m. contest vs. MSU Moorhead (9-7, 5-5 NSIC North).  Northern State begins this weekend with records of 12-4 and tied for first in the NSIC North with an 8-2 league mark.  Last year, MSU Moorhead topped Wayne State in Moorhead 80-76 while WSC edged Northern State in Aberdeen 84-81.

For the first time in three years, MSU Moorhead and Northern State travel to Wayne and Rice Auditorium for NSIC cross-division womens basketball games this weekend.  The Wildcats are 11-5 and in a four-way logjam for second place in the NSIC South Division with a 6-4 league mark entering Friday nights 5:30 p.m. contest vs. MSU Moorhead, who is 13-4 and tied for first in the NSIC North Division with a 8-2 league record.  Northern State enters this weekends road trip with records of 11-5 and 7-3 in the NSIC North and faces WSC in Wayne Saturday at 3:30 p.m.  Last season, MSUM beat the Wildcats in Moorhead 71-57 while Wayne State posted a 60-56 victory at Northern State.
