Kearney, Neb. – Top seeded Nebraska-Kearney hit .290 as a team on the way to a 28-30, 25-20, 25-21 and 25-13 win over fourth seeded Central Missouri in the semifinals of the MIAA Volleyball Tournament.
For the Lopers Kendall Schroer had a big night finished with 22 kills while Annie Wolfe added 17 kills and six blocks. Tara Ziegelbein also finished in double figures with 12 kills and also had six blocks. Lindsey Smith finished with a match high 54 assists while Ellie McDonnell led on the return with 28 digs.
For the Jennies it was Kylie Hohlen leading the attack with 14 kills while Maddie Jones added 13 kills. Kasey Hohlen had 11 kills while Molly Lawrence finished with 10 kills on the evening. Kourtney Thompson had a double-double with 45 assists and 24 digs while Carly Offerdahl led the return with 24 digs.
The Lopers will face off with Washburn in the MIAA Championship game on Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. from Kearney, Neb.
