HOOPER – We had high school basketball on 107.9 The Bull Tuesday night, Dec. 19, as Logan View/Scribner-Snyder hosted DC West in a girls and boys varsity doubleheader. In the girls Game, the Raiders erupted for 24 points in the first quarter, and shot themselves to a 38-27 halftime lead, while making six three-pointers in the first half. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder played a stellar second half defensively, including allowing zero points in the fourth quarter, and went on to beat DC West 60-35. Ashley Peters had 14 points for the Raiders, including four three-pointers, with Kaylee Boyle scoring 12 and Valerie Uehling adding 11.
The boys game was tied at 13-13 after the first quarter, and then Logan View/Scribner-Snyder outscored DC West 24-3 in the second frame, taking a 37-16 lead into the intermission. The Raiders kept rolling in the second half, and would defeat DC West by a final score of 75-45. Ben Moxness had 26 points to lead the Raiders, with Jacob Polk not far behind at 24 points.
