The Pender Boys hope and figure to be much improved this season with the return of all five starters.

The Pendragons did lose some key players though, and they are Broderick Brader, Evan Glissman, and Cole Hofmeister.
King says there are four newcomers who could make an impact, and they are:
Chris Rutar – 5’10” – So. – G

Jacob Bensen – 6’2” – Jr. – F
Jaydon Jump – 5’10” – So. – F
King adds he and the team are thinking they will be much better this year than last.
“This team has great potential. The sky is the limit for some of them and we all believe that we can drastically improve from where we finished last season.”
Season Outlook:

There’s reason for optimism and excitement around the Pender Boys Basketball program.
King says his boys are ready to go.
“Our boys are very excited about this season. They understand that they have a lot of experience back from previous years and that we have already greatly improved from last season. The boys understand how good they can be and are working hard to improve on a daily basis.”
King adds there are a few things he expects out of his team this year, one thing being good rebounding.
“Aggressive, high pressure defense. Efficient offense. Strong rebounding.”
The Pendragons figure to have a good chance to win more games this year than last.
King says keys to doing so include being smart and forcing other teams into mistakes.
“Taking good shots, picking up our defensive pressure, outrebounding our opponents, and forcing other teams into turnovers.”
King adds he can’t wait to see his team have success.
“I am most looking forward to the success the boys will have and how they handle it. They can be great this year. I am looking forward to where they can take this team.”
Pender is in Sub-District D1-4 with GACC, Walthill, Emerson-Hubbard, and Clarkson/Leigh.
The Pendragons open up the season on Thursday at home against Wakefield.
