The Mavericks worked out to a 14-9 lead, but an 8-0 run pushed the score in Iowa’s favor at 17-14. Two kills apiece from Coyle and Meghan Buzzerio spurred the Hawkeyes late, and they took the final set, 25-18.

Late kills by Horkey and O’Shaughnessy helped Omaha to a 21-18 advantage, and a 4-1 closing run finished it off at 25-19.

Inside Set 2
A back-and-forth set saw Omaha and Indiana State stall 10 times. Their seventh tie brought it to 21-21, but the Sycamores broke through with a kill and prompted a Maverick timeout. Roth then registered back-to-back kills out of the break, pushing Omaha to a 23-22 lead before ISU elected to take a timeout of its own. Two ISU errors and a Blaschko/O’Shaughnessy stop at the net finished it off for Omaha, which captured the second set, 26-24.

Inside Set 3
Indiana State used two runs to work up to 13-7 advantage in game three. The Mavericks later put together three straight scores with kills by Blaschko and Horkey and a Blaschko solo block, which cut ISU’s lead to 17-14. ISU eventually brought it to set point at 24-20, but a Roth kill pushed the Sycamores to take another timeout. A bad ISU set and a Blaschko kill out after the break pulled UNO within one, but the Sycamores used a Peterson kill to take the third set, 25-23.

Inside Set 4
The Mavericks found themselves down 6-2 early and quickly called the first timeout of the fourth set.
