AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State volleyball team is utilizing their Big 12 bye to return to non-conference action, when the Cyclones head to South Dakota to take on the South Dakota Coyotes on Tuesday. First serve in Vermillion at the Coyote Sports Center will be at 7 p.m.

Though ISU are coming off an 0-2 week, the Cyclones will take confidence from taking a set off No. 6 Kansas and coming back from 0-2 down to force a fifth set at No. 4 Texas. The Cyclone offense found success in those matches across the board, while running both a 5-1 and 6-2 offense. The ISU defense had a strong week from Hali Hillegas in her second and third career starts at libero.
The Cyclones will get a strong challenge from the hosting Coyotes, who are 6-0 in Summit League play and are 17-2 overall. USD’s most recent win saw them come from two sets down to defeat visiting Fort Wayne in five sets.
