The Nebraska baseball team faces Iowa this weekend at Hawks Field as both teams continue Big Ten play. Impending weather has caused changes to the inital series schedule. Friday’s action will consist of a doubleheader, starting at 2:05 p.m. (CT).

It is “Love 4 Laney & Katie Day” at Hawks Field, as the Huskers will honor Laney Ledbetter, daughter of Director of Operations and former Husker Curtis Ledbetter and his wife Monica, and Baseball Academic Counselor Katie Jewell, who recently began a personal battle with cancer. The day will honor Ledbetter and other children who are in need of or have received an organ transplant.

Ledbetter and Jewell will throw out ceremonial first pitches before the second game of the doubleheader, approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

The third game of the series is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. (CT) on ESPNU for the time being, but could be adjusted due to weather. Updates will be provided on Huskers.com and on Twitter via @Husker_Baseball.

Fans who have a Friday ticket can attend both games on Friday. If there is a game on Saturday, fans can use a Saturday ticket for that game, then their Sunday ticket could be used for general admission to any future regular-season game in 2018. If there’s no game on Saturday, fans can use the Saturday ticket for general admission to any regular-season game later this year. If there’s no game on Saturday or Sunday, the tickets for those dates can be used for general admission to any regular-season game later this season.
