Howells-Dodge Boys Claim Third at EHC Tournament

COLUMBUS – Howells-Dodge met Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family in the third place game of the boys East Husker Conference Tournament on Saturday at Central Community College in Columbus.

The game was close early, with the Jaguars holding a slim 29-27 advantage at halftime.

Howells-Dodge outscored the Bulldogs 14-9 in the third quarter, and took a 43-36 lead into the fourth.

H/LHF outscored the Jaguars in the fourth quarter, but the Jaguars were able to create some late separation, and would win 53-48.

Blake Sindelar led Howells-Dodge with 19 points, and RJ Bayer added 18. Turner Beller scored 13 for H/LHF.

Howells-Dodge improved to 14-6 with the win and the finished the EHC tournament in third place.
