HENDERSON, Neb. – In a game that featured 2 different offensive philosophies, Giltner’s spread offense found a leader in senior quarterback Dayne Hinrichs. Hinrichs accounted for 7 touchdowns on the evening, including an interception returned for a score, to lead the Hornets to a 46-28 victory over Heartland. Giltner raced out to a 26-0 lead early in the 1st half, only to see the Huskies claw back in to the game by sticking to the ground game, and eventually cut the lead down to one score on a 65 year run by Jackson Stebbing. But the points came off of the board on a penalty and Giltner never looked back. A couple of 4th quarter touchdowns by Hinrichs put the game out of reach, on a night which only saw the Hornets out gain the Huskies by 64 yards.
