GACC/SS/WPB Wins High Scoring Game Over TC Thunder

WEST POINT – In high school baseball heard on 107.9 the Bull Tuesday night, April 17, Guardian Angels Central Catholic/Scribner-Snyder/West Point-Beemer won a slugfest over Thurston-Cuming County by a score of 11-8. The Patriots racked up nine hits to go with their 11 runs, while the Thunder recorded 11 hits. Bryant Rief went 4-4 for GACC/SS/WPB with a double and two RBIS, while also drawing a walk. Austin Streeter added two hits and three RBIs. Eric Schopke went 3-3 for the Thunder with four RBIs while also being hit by a pitch. GACC/SS/WPB is now 2-5 on the season, while Thurston-Cuming County falls to 1-6. The two teams will play each other again on Friday in Pender.
