The Central Community College volleyball team recorded a 3-0 sweep over Midland JV on Wednesday night at Raider Fieldhouse. The final scores were 25-18, 25-22, 25-23.

Jacie Laetsch and Katelynn Halstead logged 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Ryle Kwapnioski tallied 34 assists, while Laetsch finished with 13 digs.

“It was good to sweep our final JV opponent of the season,” said CCC head coach Mary Young. “I thought we made big strides in our defense play and our transition from over the weekend. I was happy to see our players play through mistakes and work together to get the win.”

With the win, the Raiders are 5-1 on the season and will play in the Northeast Tournament on Friday and Saturday in Norfolk. On Friday, CCC will take on Lake Region State College at 3 p.m. and Kirkwood Community College at 7 p.m. On Saturday, the Raiders will take on Fort Scott Community College at 11 a.m.
