Central Community College women’s basketball is pleased to announce the signing of Shelly Ross (center), a 2018 graduate of Bel Air High School in El Paso, Texas.
Ross helped lead the Highlanders to a 26-6 record and a berth in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) girls state basketball tournament. Bel Air made it to the second round before falling to eventual UIL state champion, Amarillo.
“Shelly is a good athlete and has a lot to offer on both ends of the floor,” said CCC head coach Billy Perkins. “She brings a great intensity on defense and moves very well without the ball. Shelly has the quickness and speed that we are looking for this coming year.”
Ross will be an education major at CCC. She is the granddaughter of Manuel (left) and Blanca (right) Hinojosa.
