(AUDIO) Tekamah-Herman Softball Team holds off Logan View/Scribner-Snyder

(AUDIO) Tekamah-Herman Softball Team holds off Logan View/Scribner-Snyder

Tekamah-The Tekamah-Herman Softball team jumped out to a big lead on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder at home Monday night, but had to hold off a late charge by the Raiders in winning 9-7.

The Tigers scored 3 runs in each the 1st and 3rd innings, and put up 1 in the 2nd to build a 7-0 lead after 3.

The two teams traded runs in the 4th and 5th, and Tekamah-Herman led 9-2 after 5.

The Raiders added 4 runs in the 6th, and another in the 7th to make up the final score.

Ashley Bohannon picked up the win on the mound for the Tigers (2-0), giving up 7 runs on 13 hits while going the distance. Bohannon was also 1-3 at the plate with a solo homerun, two runs scored, and a walk.

Ashley Peters went 3-4 with three runs scored for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (0-2) while Hailey Schiermeyer was 2-4 with a triple, a double, and 3 RBI.

Sierra Beacom took the loss on the mound for the Raiders, giving up 6 runs on 6 hits in 5 2/3 innings of work.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder returns to action on Tuesday, taking on Wisner-Pilger and Twin River in a home triangular while Tekamah-Herman returns to action on Thursday, taking on GACC and Highway 91 in the Highway 91 Triangular.
