West Point-The Stanton Volleyball team cruised to a Triangular sweep of West Point-Beemer and Scribner-Snyder Tuesday night, sweeping both teams 2-0.
The Mustangs defeated the Cadets 25-14 in set one, and 25-9 in set two.
Jessie Brandl had a match-high 10 kills for Stanton while Nicole Mitzel had 3 to pace West Point-Beemer.
The Mustangs knocked off the Trojans 25-8 in the first set, and 25-13 in the second set.
Brandl and Bree Burtwhistle notched 6 kills apiece to lead Stanton (19-2) while Kaylee Boyle paced Scribner-Snyder with 3 kills and 18 set assists.
In the Scribner-Snyder/West Point-Beemer match, the Cadets (12-10) took set one 25-11 and set three 25-15 after the Trojans claimed set two 25-23.
Mitzel led all players with 14 kills while Brooke Haase totaled 10. Boyle recorded 10 kills and 7 set assists for Scribner-Snyder (8-9) while Emily Lewin added 8 digs.
All three teams are in action Thursday in the East Husker Conference Tournament as Stanton hosts Madison at 6:00 p.m., West Point-Beemer faces BRLD in Stanton at 4:30 p.m., and Scribner-Snyder takes on Tekamah-Herman at Clarkson/Leigh at 4:30 p.m.
