Tekamah-The Stanton Volleyball team won the Tekamah-Herman Triangular Tuesday night, sweeping both Tekamah-Herman and Oakland-Craig 2-0. The Tigers downed the Knights 2-0 in the last match of the night.
In the Stanton/Tekamah-Herman match, the Mustangs won set one 25-12 and set two 25-15.
The Tigers were led by Marin Jetensky with 10 kills. Hannah Heppner paced the Mustangs with 6 kills while Bree Burtwhistle had 5.
In the Oakland-Craig/Stanton match, the Mustangs took set one 25-14, and set two 25-11.
Natalia McNeill and Beth Moseman notched 3 kills apiece to lead the Knights. Jessie Brandl paced Stanton (15-2) with 8 kills.
In the Tekamah-Herman/Oakland-Craig match, the Tigers defeated the Knights 25-15 in the first set, and 25-8 in the second set.
Jetensky had a match-high 12 kills for Tekamah-Herman (11-6) while McNeill paced Oakland-Craig (2-14) with 8 kills.
The Knights and Mustangs return to action on Thursday, taking on Howells-Dodge and Wayne on the road, respectively, while the Tigers are back in action on Saturday at the Raymond Central Invite.
