Briar Cliff women’s volleyball head coach Trevor Schirman has announced the signing of Kiaya Alderson to his 2017-18 Charger recruiting class. Alderson, a native of Pipestone, Minnesota, is prepping for her senior year at Pipestone Area High School.
Alderson is currently a six-time letterwinner for the Arrows with three apiece in volleyball and basketball. She has been named all-conference the past two years and was named the team MVP as a junior. Alderson was also an all-conference honorable mention selection as a freshman. She has also been featured in Breakdown Magazine as a junior and senior.
“I am very excited to have Kiaya join BCU next fall,” said coach Schirman. “Kiaya is an excellent athlete who can play right side, middle or left side. Not only is she a very explosive and physical player, she also has a very high IQ for the game. She is exactly the type of student athlete that will excel both in the gym and classroom while at BCU.”
Kiaya is the daughter of Cary Alderson and Christina Alderson and is looking to major in kinesiology at Briar Cliff.
