A Wyoming native who graduated from the University of Wyoming and has practiced law as a para-legal all over the world for nearly 30 years is the new Scotts Bluff Clerk of the District Court .
Darla Simpson, whose husband Robert managed Aurora Loan Services in Scottsbluff for a time, says they moved back to their farm in rural Mitchell recently to help take care of her parents, who live in Torrington.
Simpson says she has done work on the para-legal side from the law firm and corporate side, but never as part of the courtroom side and is intrigued about the challenge.
Simpson says she has never practiced in Nebraska so she will have to get familiar with the statutes and regulations. But she noted she looks forward to working with a wonderful staff and is ready to get started.
Simpson will be sworn in to her new job Tuesday morning
