Construction on Scottsbluff’s 42nd Street project has halted for the winter, but the road was opened back up to traffic Monday.
Public Works Director Mark Bohl told KNEB News there’s not a whole lot left to do, but they will finish the work when the weather warms up.
The project started at Avenue I (Highway 71) and worked their way east. Bohl says they are at the entrance to the Village at Regional West and have finished the intersection there, but are still short of 5th Avenue.
Bohl says there is probably another 60 days of work to be complete before coming back with pavement markings, and should have the entire project finished sometime in the summer.
