Woodland Park Man Pleads Guilty To Motor Vehicle Homicide

On Tuesday morning in Stanton County Court, a 20 year old Woodland Park man entered a guilty plea to a charge of Motor Vehicle Homicide and Minor in Possession of Alcohol. Blake Baldwin entered the guilty pleas and will be sentenced in October. Baldwin was arrested by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office back in April following an investigation into a fatal traffic accident that claimed the life of Beau Kellogg, 19, of Norfolk. The accident took place on 560th Avenue southeast of Woodland Park.

Also in County Court, a 20 year old Norfolk woman was sentenced to one year in jail following the revocation of her probation on two Criminal Mischief charges.

Cheyenne Hutson was originally arrested in 2016 by the Sheriff’s office following an investigation into a rash of vehicle and house windows being shot out in the Woodland Park and Norfolk area with BB guns. She also is still ordered to pay restitution along with two co-defendants who remain on probation.

Also given a jail sentence was Cody Stone, 20, of Stanton. Stone pled guilty to charges of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Third Degree Assault and Disturbing the Peace. He was arrested earlier this year by the Sheriff’s office following two separate incidents in Stanton. Stone was given sixty days on each count to be served concurrently in the county jail.

County Judge Michael Long presided over the proceedings.
