Tractor Accident Seriously Injures Stanton man

On Friday evening just after 9:15 p.m. the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a tractor accident that seriously injured a 73 year old Stanton man.

Gerald Asplin was southbound on 566th Avenue about 6.5 miles North of Stanton when he lost control of his tractor/loader and it entered the west ditch pinning him underneath.

He was extricated from the wreckage using the “jaws of life” by Stanton Fire/Rescue and transported to FRHS in Norfolk by Norfolk Rescue who also assisted.

The accident was discovered by a passerby shortly after it occurred.
