Tornado Watch In Effect Until 11  PM

A tornado watch is in effect until 11 pm for 16 counties in Nebraska and eight counties in Iowa. That includes Cuming, Burt, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy, Saunders, Washington, and Thurston counties.

…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN MILLS…SOUTHWESTERN POTTAWATTAMIE…SARPY…
SOUTHERN DOUGLAS…SOUTHEASTERN SAUNDERS AND CASS COUNTIES…

At 630 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles southeast of Millard to near Murdock, moving
east at 30 mph.  Additional storms were producing large hail across
Cass and Sarpy Counties.

HAZARD…Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE…Spotters reported dime sized hail near Gretna and Eagle at
625 pm and getting larger.

IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include…
Southern Omaha, Council Bluffs, Bellevue, Papillion, La Vista,
Plattsmouth, Ralston, Gretna, Ashland, Springfield, Louisville,
Weeping Water, Greenwood, Murray, Cedar Creek, Elkhorn, Murdock,
Millard, Offutt AFB and Boys Town.

This includes the following highways…
Interstate 29 between mile markers 47 and 53.
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 4.
Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 415 and 454.
