A group that brings together some of the most celebrated artists from the South Carolina Low country will perform this evening at the historic Midwest Theater in Scottsbluff.
Ranky Tanky singer and trumpet player Charlton Singleton explained to KNEB News that their “Gullah” music, performances, and workshops updated timeless game songs, work songs, and spirituals from early field recordings taken along the Carolina Coast.-
There are five members in the band, including three who sing, although the main voice is the phenomenal Quiana Parler.
Tickets are still available for tonight’s 7:30 p.m. performance with a walk-in special ticket sale from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the theater scheduled this afternoon. A limited number of lower level tickets and balcony tickets available.
