Thunderstorms are expected to build across the mountains of southeast Wyoming by early Thursday afternoon before spreading eastward.
KNEB Meteorologist Don Day says the actual number of thunderstorms will be fairly low, but says there is a chance that a few of these storms could become strong to possibly severe.
And while the chances are not great, he wouldn’t rule out the possibility of tornado development. He said instability in the air aloft will likely lead to the development of more thunderstorm activity for the next several days.
Day says it’s the time of year when these thunderstorms become more frequent.
