Three Women Hospitalized Following Highway 275 Accident

On Friday afternoon at about 2:10 p.m. the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a two vehicle accident on U.S. Hwy 275 about three miles East of Norfolk that sent three women to the hospital.

The accident occurred when a pickup driven by Toni Prince, 46, of Osmond turned from a private drive into the path of an east bound car on Hwy 275 driven by Eva Thelen, 16, of Pilger.  Both drivers were taken to FRHS along with a 21 year old passenger in the Thelen car who was extricated from the wreckage by Norfolk Fire and Rescue.  None of the injuries appeared to be serious and seatbelts and airbags were in use and are credited with lessening injuries.

Prince is a rural mail carrier and was on her route at the time of the accident.  Both vehicles were considered total losses and the eastbound lanes of the highway were closed for about 45 minutes as the scene was cleared and investigated.
