More than a dozen organizations benefited today from fundraising efforts by Soroptimist International of Scotts Bluff County.
Today, the group presented $12,000 to local organizations that improve the lives of women and girls at their annual Service Award luncheon. Funds were raised in several fund-raising events, including the “Dancing with the Stars” event held in January.
This year’s awardees include Buckboard Riding Academy, Girls on the Run at Roosevelt Elementary, Midwest Theater, Doves, Western Nebraska Community College GED Program, CAPWN Family Stabilzation, CAPWN Parent Cafecitos, CAPstone, Life Link/ESU 13, Delta Kappa Gamma, Scotts Bluff County Volunteer Center, Lied Library STEM Program, and Camp Scott.
Guest at the Awards Luncheon included several women who competed in the second annual “Dancing with the Stars” event, which has been an extremely popular and successful fundraiser.
Soroptimist International is a service organization that works to improve the lives of women and girls by awareness, advocacy and action. Members are actively engaged in professional or management positions in the Panhandle.
