Flash Flood Warning For Cuming And Dodge Counties

Flash Flood Warning For Cuming And Dodge Counties
Oakland, NE looking Northeast at 4:45 p.m.

Severe Storms hit Northeast and Eastern Nebraska on Wednesday.

Burt County was hit with two Tornado Warnings in the late afternoon/early evening while Cuming, Colfax, Dodge, Platte, Wayne, Pierce, and Madison Counties were among the counties hit by Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.

Pea sized hail was reported in Oakland and Wisner, and hail was also reported just outside West Point as well.


A flash flood warning remains in effect for southwestern Cuming and north central Dodge counties until 11:15 tonight.



At 9:24 pm, local law enforcement reported flash flooding in southern Cuming County, including water over Highway 275 south of West Point. Radar indicates that more than  three inches of rain fell in a short period of time.  Locations that may experience flooding include West Point, Scribner, Beemer, Snyder and  Uehling.
