An upgrade of security measures in place at Scottsbluff City Hall was approved by the City Council Monday evening.
City Manager Nathan Johnson says the upgrades will include the creation of a secure “double window” area in the vestibule, preventing customers from entering directly into the working areas of City Hall.
The council Monday evening awarded the contract for just over $53,000 to Anderson and Shaw.
The proposal was tabled during the last Council meeting after councilman Scott Shaver had requested a list of sub-contractors to be used prior to approving the contract. Johnson last night told the council sub contractors on the project will include
Adams Electric for the electrical and Thompson Glass for the glass work.
Johnson says construction on the upgrades is expected to begin within the month.
