Scottsbluff Superintendent Rick Myles has a new three year contract and he couldn’t be happier.
The Bluffs School Board Monday evening approved the new contract and Myles told KNEB News he’s excited about being part of the district’s immediate future.
Myles told KNEB News, “It’s been a tremendous honor to be here. It’s been eight years and to tell you the truth it has just flown by. We have accomplished a lot and I am pleased with what we have done, but there’s a lot more to do that for sure.”
Myles says “all the stars aligned from the very beginning” with the very successful high school renovation project and now that it is completed, he looks forward to providing great experiences for the thirty four hundred students that are enrolled in the district.
Myles contract provides him a two and a half percent increase in base salary in each of the upcoming three years, moving his pay from $199,000 in the upcoming school year to $214,000 in 2020-21.
