Scottsbluff, Kuckkahn mutually agree to sever ties

Former City Manager Rick Kuckkahn and the city of Scottsbluff have agreed to sever ties.

City Manager Nathan Johnson says after Kuckkahn agreed to be the interim city manager for the city of Alliance beginning the first week of September, they mutually agreed on August 17th to terminate Kuckkahn’s consulting contract and his last day with the city was September 2nd.

Johnson said the two sides agreed that Kuchhan’s main focus would be with the city of Alliance and he would not be able to continue working on the projects assigned to him for the city of Scottsbluff.

Johnson says because Kuckkahn will likely be with the city of Alliance into next year and the contract he had with Scottsbluff expires at the end of this year, he does not foresee Scottsbluff entering into another contract with Kuckkahn in the future.
