SEWARD – Three subjects were involved in a brief vehicle pursuit came through Seward Wednesday evening. According to the Seward Police Department, shortly after 6:00 p.m. officers were involved in a pursuit that started west of town on Highway 34 that eventually came through the Seward city limits.
Approximately two miles east of Seward on Hwy 34, mechanical tire deflators were successfully used to bring the fleeing vehicle to a stop safely. The driver, 19-year-old Brandy Finch then ran on foot and soon after was apprehended without further incident. Two other male passengers were detained for questioning. A weapon was found in the vehicle, but it wasn’t specified what it was. Authorities are still investigating.
Also involved were officers from the Nebraska State Patrol and the Seward County Sheriff’s Office.
