A power outage has hit Scottsbluff Wednesday afternoon, leaving a good portion of the community without electricity.

Terry Rajewich with Nebraska Public Power District says approximately 1,051 customers have been impacted by the outage which started shortly before 1:30 p.m. According to the NPPD outage map, affected residents and businesses are in an area generally bounded by Broadway to Avenue I and 27th Street to the south of the BNSF tracks.
