A 7th person has been arrested in connection with the CODE Drug Task Force action last week that arrested 6 people with federal charges ranging from Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine to Money Laundering. Twenty-one-year-old Jesus Pinela was one of two fugitive not located at the time of the original arrests. Lexington Police Department Capt. Paul Schwarz says they received a tip that Pinela was located at the Econolodge Motel in Lexington. Officers went to the room early Saturday morning where he was believed to have been in and identified him along with several others in the room. Cap. Schwarz says items of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were also observed in plain view. Pinela was arrested on the federal warrant. In addition, he and the others in the room were also arrested on suspicion of Possession of Methamphetamine or Possession Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute. The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
The other arrests include 38-year-old Gabriel Chavez, 29-year-old Jessica Hernandez and 20-year-old Stephanie Saunders, all of Lexington along with 39-year-old Christopher Twohig of Gothenburg.
One other man is still being sought on a federal warrant. He is Roberto Ceja-Arredondo.
