A Mitchell teen is still hospitalized  following an injury accident at the intersection of Hwy 26 and 21ST Ave Friday.

Speranza Lopez, a passenger in one of the two vehicles involved, is listed in stable condition Monday morning. Scottsbluff police say an east bound gray Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by 63 year old Judy Hoatson of Minatare was stopped for a light when it was struck from behind by a Nissan driven by 16 year old Colby Frith of Minatare.

Frith and Lopez were taken to the hospital by Valley Ambulance to RWMC. Frith was not listed in the hospital directory. Police say no seat belts were in use in either vehicle, but Hoatson told KNEB News she was wearing her seat belt . Investigation is not complete and no citations have been issued at this time.
