A three vehicle chain reaction accident this morning on the northwest edge of Scottsbluff resulted in minor injuries for two people.

Scottsbluff Police say the accident happened in the 1400 block of West 42nd Street just west of Avenue  I around 7 a.m. Police say the first two cars were stopped for a school bus, when the third vehicle struck the rear of the second car, pushing it into the first vehicle.

The first car was driven by 39 year old April Hort of Scottsbluff. The second car was driven by 47 year old Beckie Reau of Lingle, and the third car’s driver was 16 year old Ryan Hubbard of Scottsbluff. Hubbard was cited for following too closely. All the cars were headed eastbound into a rising sun.

Hort was taken to Regional West Medical Center for treatment by her son while Reau was transported to the hospital by Valley Ambulance.
