A man already sentenced to prison on a drug conviction and facing additional drug and shoplifting counts has now been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property and possession of burglar tools.
Court documents say 28 year old Christoper Gomez is now accused of taking two welders from the Scottsbluff sugar factory construction area in May. The documents say the welders were found in Gomez’ possession during a traffic stop revolving around the shoplifting incident last month. He is charged in that case with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute and Shoplifting (More than $1,500).
Gomez was sentenced August 25th by District Judge Leo Dobrovolny to 12 to 24 months in prison for attempted distribution of methamphetamine.
