As Nebraskans prepare for the open enrollment on health insurance plans for the coming year, the state Department of Insurance is conducting listening sessions across the state to help answer questions about that and other insurance issues.
Martin Swanson, an administrator with the Agency notes that open enrollment for 2017 runs from November 1st through January 31st. He encourages Nebraskans to carefully shop for their health insurance plan…
There are three insurance companies participating in the Nebraska marketplace for the coming year. All three of them will have an average increase in premiums of more than 30% over rates established for 2016.
The Department will have people with expertise on this as well as property and casualty topics that may be of interest to business owners in the upcoming Listening Sessions. Question and answer periods will be included in the sessions.
In our area, sessions are scheduled for today (Wed) in Gering and tomorrow (Thurs) in Sidney.
6 p.m. to 8 p.m. this evening at the Gering Civic Center and tomorrow from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cheyenne County Community Center in Sidney.
