On Saturday evening at about 7:00 p.m. the Stanton County Sheriff’s office arrested a 28 year old Minnesota woman on felony drug charges in the largest seizure of methamphetamine in Stanton County history.
Nicole R. Kroells of Norwood Young America, MN was arrested following a traffic stop on Hwy 15 about nine miles South of Pilger for speeding.
Kroells was found to be in possession of approximately five pounds of suspected methamphetamine that was recovered hidden inside the interior of the vehicle, packaged with masking substances to disguise the odor. She was en-route to Minneapolis from Phoenix and is a previously convicted felon with drug convictions.
Kroells faces felony charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver and failure to have Nebraska Drug Tax Stamp.
The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at more than $100,000.00. Kroells is currently incarcerated pending her first court appearance.
