A 37-year-old Kimball woman accused of shooting her mother with a gun in an attempt to kill her has had her case bound over to District Court.
Shirrin Sharifpour is charged with Attempted Murder in the First Degree, First Degree Assault, Second Degree Assault, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Court records say that Sharifpour was in a hotel room with her mother and shot her in the back of the head and in the eye with a CO2 powered BB gun revolver. Afterwards, Sharifpour reportedly went to Gotte Park and hid the gun in a culvert.
Sharifpour’s attorney has already filed a motion stating that her client is mentally incompetent to stand trial and has requested an evaluation from a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Her next court date is scheduled for February 5th in Kimball County District Court.
