Ice Jam Poses Potential Threat South Of Columbus in Platte County

Platte County Emergency Manager Tim Hofbauer  has an emergency declaration in his pocket as he watches a six mile ice jam along the Platte and Loup Rivers to see how the next couple of weeks play out.  Hofbauer tells KTIC News it’s precautionary in case the rivers flood south of Columbus in the coming weeks.  The declaration  would provide help from the state to deal with it.
