The Hershey Viaduct has been in the planning stages for 20 years and construction is winding down. The new structure will keep trains and vehicles on separate grades. Gary Thayer, Nebraska Department of Roads District 6 Engineer said recently that the project was nearing completion. Construction began more than a year ago. The new viaduct will be celebrated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday at 11 a.m. Thayer will be one of the speakers at  the ribbon-cutting. Other speakers will be Nebraska Roads Director Kyle Schneweis, and Hershey Village Board Chairman Tom Wolfgang.
