On November 1st, the health insurance marketplace will open up. It will give Nebraskans the chance to shop for and get affordable health insurance.
Since it began two years ago, 17.6 million more Americans have signed up for health insurance through the online marketplace. Eric Savaiano is the statewide coordinator of the Enroll Nebraska Network.
He says most of the problems with the government’s website, healthcare.gov , have been worked out…
Open Enrollment runs until January 31, 2016. To receive coverage by January 1, 2016, Nebraskans must sign up by December 15, 2015. The tax penalty for not having health insurance will double in 2016.
Those needing help or more information can call 2-1-1 and find the name of a local “assister” to help them through the enrollment process.
