The Rural Futures Institute’s Rural Regional Forum in West Point concluded Thursday with the Governor taking the stage to talk about $300-million in new transportation projects that will be constructed and funded by the Build Nebraska Act and the Transportation Innovation Act.
The first project to get underway will be to widen Highway 275 to a four lane divided highway between Scribner and West Point.
Governor Pete Ricketts was applauded when saying US 275 from Scribner to West Point will get $90-million for a 4 lane divided expressway with a bypass around Scribner. Work will begin by 2019.
