A former coach at Southeast High School in Yoder who pleaded guilty to a charge of ‘Third Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor by a Person in Authority’ will be sentenced in Goshen County District Court July 18th at 2 p.m.
36-year-old Michael Booth entered the guilty plea April 16th.
Booth was arrested last October following an investigation regarding a May, 2017 incident where he and the high school victim had sex. Court documents say Booth and the victim confirmed the incident happened; the victim told the investigator she felt pressured into it.
Booth faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced.
