Regional West Medical Center will be holding their annual drive-through and walk-in flu shot clinics the next two Saturdays.

The drive-through clinic for seniors 65 and over will be held at the Regional West Medical Center South Plaza this Saturday October 8th from 8-11 a.m.

Participants should wear short sleeve shirts and bring their Medicare Part B card for billing.

The walk-in flu shot clinic for adults and children over the age of 6 months is scheduled the next Saturday, October 15th  from 8 a.m. to noon at the community health office at the St. Mary Plaza.

Scotts Bluff County Health Director Paulette Schnell says the nasal mist, which has been popular as an alternative for the shot, will not be available this year. Schnell says the mist needs to be reformulated to make sure it is more  effective against all strains of the flu.

All insurance, Medicare and Medicaid will be accepted and there are flexible options for those with no insurance.
